Not Every Idea Becomes a Game
Not all ideas end up in games.
I keep a list of game ideas in Notion. All half-baked, all hopefully going to become something someday. But experience has taught me: if an idea sits there for a month without movement, most of the time it’ll sit there forever.
Nab In The Dark, Smack Deck, Tic! Tic! Boomb!!! — those made it because something kept them moving. A laugh that pulled a crowd in. A kid asking for more variety. A doodle that turned into a card the next morning. The ideas that die are the ones that never got that first push, and then never got a second one either.
The list keeps growing anyway. That’s fine — it’s a graveyard, but it’s also where the next game is probably already sitting, waiting for someone to open the graphics software.
